Strong contrast in scale, architecture, and convenience. Maybe the history of Rotterdam makes this contrast feel important, a city flattened and rebuilt. The ease, comfort, and speed of the trains make the crossing feel effortless. Only anxiety is whether I indeed have the right ticket.
